Implant Application
Dental implants: The next best thing to your natural teeth!
Implants are artificial tooth roots placed in the jawbone and made to support prostheses. Fixed or removable prostheses made instead of missing teeth aim to fulfil the patient's chewing function and aesthetics. The implant applied to the tooth is made with the help of biocompatible screws or screws placed in the jaw to complete the missing tooth or teeth missing in the mouth. The missing teeth are placed on these screws. The implant can be applied for a single tooth or in multiple tooth deficiencies. The strength of the person's bone structure and gum health are effective in the success of implant treatment.

What is implant treatment?
Dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed in the jawbone and used to support prostheses. Fixed or removable prostheses made on these long-lasting and lifelong artificial roots, which are made to replace missing teeth, are applied to restore the patient's chewing function and aesthetics.
In which cases is implant treatment applied?
In cases where there are no teeth in the upper and lower jaw, bone resorption and the patient cannot use the total prosthesis, the prosthesis is placed on the implants to increase the retention. If the molars in the posterior region end without teeth, the problem is solved with a single member or several implants and fixed bridges instead of wearing a removable prosthesis.
In long edentulous gaps, problems occur due to the long bodies of the bridges. The durability and support of long bridges can be increased with extra implants applied in long gaps to be applied to the toothless area.
In the case of a single missing tooth, instead of reducing the tooth in front of and behind the gap to make a fixed bridge, the gap is closed with 1 member implant and coating applied to the gap without treating the healthy teeth next to it.
What should be considered before getting a dental implant?
Implants are biocompatible materials applied to the jaw to provide functional and aesthetic appearance of missing teeth. Implant screws are materials with a certain thickness and length. The diameter and length of the implant to be applied varies according to the bone level and quality. The quality of the bone is also one of the factors affecting the success of the implant. In addition, the gums should be healthy before the treatment and as long as the implant remains in the mouth.
Bone health must be optimum or optimised in order to be able to implant a person. Clinical and radiological examination should be performed before surgery (3D films showing bone quality and quantity - CBCT).
There is no upper age limit for the implant if the bone structure and health condition are appropriate. However, it is not preferred to be applied to individuals under the age of 18. The duration of implant surgery varies according to the number of implants made. With today's developing technology, the application time is short and the postoperative symptoms are the same as the symptoms after normal tooth extraction.
How the implant is applied
The implant procedure is performed in 5 steps. These are as follows:
- Examination: This stage consists of general health and dental examination of the patient. If the general health condition of the patient is favourable for implantation, the dentist decides on the type and length of the implant to be used according to the special X-ray taken and the condition of the teeth in the mouth.
- Operation: The implant is placed under local anaesthesia. The procedure may take between 30-90 minutes depending on the number of implants to be applied.
- Healing process: After the implant is placed, it takes 3-6 months for it to osteointegrate into the bone. During the healing phase, if necessary, a temporary prosthesis is made to the patient and the patient is provided with nutrition without excessive pressure on the implants.
- Placement of the implant superstructure: Implants generally consist of two parts. The first part is the cylindrical part placed in the jawbone. The second part is the part that is compatible with the part inside the bone, which we call abutment.
- Prosthetics: The prosthesis is made when the superstructure is measured.
What are the implant prices?
A dental implant is a surgical procedure where a replacement tooth root is placed to restore missing teeth. At AuraDent Aesthetic Clinic, we use high-quality implant materials and advanced techniques to ensure the best results for our patients. The cost of dental implant treatment is determined based on your specific needs and treatment plan. For detailed information and personalized pricing, we invite you to schedule a consultation at our clinic.
What are the benefits of implant application?
Implant is a reliable, comfortable and robust application. Prostheses made on the implant create a natural appearance while replacing the teeth. While the missing teeth are completed, the gap is closed without interfering with the healthy teeth around it.
Implant Brands We Work With
At AuraDent, selecting the right implant system is a clinical decision — not a catalogue choice. Our primary system is JD Implants, a European-engineered implant brand known for precision, biocompatibility, and a broad prosthetic component library. For the right patient profile, we also work with Megagen as a reliable workhorse system, and where the patient's case or preference calls for it, internationally recognised premium systems such as Straumann and Nobel Biocare are available. For straightforward cases with a budget-conscious patient, Bilim Implant remains a considered option. The final recommendation follows 3D imaging (CBCT), bone assessment, prosthetic planning, and an open discussion with the patient.
JD Implants — Our Primary System
European-engineered | CE-certified | Broad prosthetic compatibility
- When? Default first choice for most cases — single implants, bridges, full-arch rehabilitations, and All-on-4/All-on-6 solutions.
- Advantages: Precise fit, excellent osseointegration surface chemistry, wide range of diameters and lengths, strong European manufacturer support and component traceability.
- For Whom? Patients seeking a high-quality European implant system with proven clinical performance and long-term reliability.
Megagen — Standard Alternative
Korean-engineered | Globally distributed | Flexible prosthetic ecosystem
- When? Complex cases, limited bone volume, aesthetic zone (anterior teeth), and immediate loading protocols.
- Advantages: Extensive prosthetic component library, predictable healing behaviour, good flexibility in soft tissue management.
- For Whom? Patients who require a well-documented system with wide international compatibility — particularly useful for patients who travel and may need follow-up care abroad.
Premium International Systems: Straumann & Nobel Biocare
For patients who specifically request a globally recognised Swiss or Swedish implant system — or whose treatment complexity or prosthetic plan benefits from these ecosystems — AuraDent can plan and place Straumann and Nobel Biocare implants.
Straumann (Switzerland)
- One of the most clinically studied implant systems in the world.
- SLActive surface for accelerated osseointegration.
- Tissue Level and Bone Level lines cover a broad range of clinical indications.
- Widely available restorative components globally — ideal for international patients with existing Straumann restorations or those requiring future follow-up outside Cyprus.
Nobel Biocare (Sweden)
- Pioneered the modern dental implant — a benchmark system used in clinics throughout Europe and the Middle East.
- Strong digital workflow integration (compatible with digital smile design and full-arch planning).
- NobelActive and NobelParallel CC lines are frequently chosen for esthetic zone and full-arch cases.
- Recognised by dental professionals worldwide — a common request from patients arriving for dental tourism who have been quoted Nobel systems elsewhere.
Note on cost: Straumann and Nobel Biocare carry a higher component cost than JD or Megagen. This is discussed transparently during consultation, and is factored into the treatment plan and quotation before any clinical decision is finalised.
Bilim Implant — Economic Option in Suitable Cases
- When? Cases with favourable bone conditions, single or limited implant placement, and a patient who is budget-sensitive.
- Advantages: Lower cost while maintaining acceptable performance in straightforward indications.
- For Whom? Patients with good bone quality, a simple prosthetic plan, no long bridge or full-arch requirements, and full understanding of the system tier.
Which Brand Is Recommended in Which Situation?
- Default choice for most cases: JD Implants — European quality, predictable outcomes, competitive cost.
- Complex cases, limited bone, or immediate loading: JD Implants or Megagen depending on the anatomical assessment.
- Patient requests a globally recognised premium system / international follow-up continuity: Straumann or Nobel Biocare.
- Full-arch digital smile design workflow: Nobel Biocare or JD Implants — both integrate well with digital planning.
- Budget-appropriate case with good bone and simple prosthetics: Bilim Implant may be considered.
- Anterior (esthetic zone) placement: JD Implants, Straumann, or Nobel Biocare preferred for documented esthetic performance.
How Is the Decision Made?
- 3D CBCT analysis evaluates bone density, volume, and key anatomical structures.
- The prosthetic plan (single tooth, bridge, full fixed prosthesis) is defined before any system is selected.
- Healing timeline, aesthetic expectations, and follow-up logistics — especially for international patients — are taken into account.
- Budget and maintenance compliance are discussed openly with the patient.
Summary: In most cases, JD Implants is our primary recommendation — a European-certified system that delivers clinical reliability at a fair price. For patients who need a globally traceable premium system, Straumann and Nobel Biocare are available. Megagen is used where its specific prosthetic or clinical characteristics offer an advantage. And where the clinical picture genuinely supports it, an economical and safe plan with Bilim Implant remains an option. The right choice is made together — after examination, imaging, and an honest conversation.
